Thank you for your kind response. Yes, Michael J. Caulfield was Roman
Catholic. His bride was Mary Ellen Grogan. And I don't know where they
were married in Chicago.
I just know they went to St.Joseph,MO but don't have a date other than he
died in 1926 and is buried in St. Joseph. I'm just a beginner in genealogy
and don't have much info at this time. Appreciate your reply. Patricia

The only information I have is that Kate Caulfield married in Chicago (St.
Jarlath's RC Church) on April 10, 1882. Her age was given as 24. She was
widowed in 1890 and died in 1891 leaving one surviving child. That child
went to live with a paternal uncle. Her death certificate says she was born
in Ireland and probably arrived in US shortly prior to her marriage. On her
children's birth certificates her name is either Catherine/Katherine/Kate
Caulfield Foley. Her marriage license lists Kate Canfield or Caufield. Her
dc lists her as Ellen Caulfield Foley. Based on your Michael's info maybe
she was a sibling? Was he Roman Catholic? Do you know where he was married
in Chicago? Know anything about his parents? Thanks
