I glanced your message and had to respond with what I know to see if there
is any link to your family. My Grandfather, Austin, came from Ballyhaunis
and lived at a farm called Carrowkeel. He was one of the youngest of many
children born about 1886/87 and came to Lancashire, England where is died in
1920. His father was called Michael Caulfield (my Great Grandfather), a
farmer, and was, I understand, married to Kirrane. The names of their
children are Thomas Michael, Michael, Patrick James, John, Martin, Mary,
Katie or Kathleen, Bridget, Peg, Ellen, who died young, Jimmy and Austin. I
do not have any dates and am not sure how to get more information but think
my Great Grandfather was probably born about 1830/1840. Just thought there
might be a connection.
