I believe, Wesley Caudle to be the son of Edward Caudle and Nancy.
Wesley is enumerated as head of household in 1860, Randolph Co.,
Eastern Division, household #503, in close proximity to Edward Caudle.
He married Sarah Lane in Guilford Co., NC on May 25, 1853. Wesley
served in the Civil War in Co. M, 22nd Regiment (Randolph Hornets).
Wesley stated he was born in Orange Co., NC, resided in Randolph Co. and
was 36 at time of enlistment. He was discharged on June 20, 1862, by
reason of being over age. Edward Caudle and wife, Nancy are known to
have been from Ornge Co., NC, migrating to Randolph Co., NC by 1850.
In 1880 he is found in Polk Co., Arkansas, Center Towsnhip, with wife,
Sarah and six children, with some children stating they were born in
Indiana.
Wesley died Sep. 16, 1896, in Polk Co, Ark., buried at Potter Cemetery,
also Polk Co.
