A Caudill cousin in Ohio sent this to me recently. I asked if it would be
okay to put it on list, and he said okay. Hope everyone enjoys it as much as
I did.

I don't really remember it, but I've heard Mom and Dad tell the story about
Grandpa Sparks hiding Jim Kisor's pants on him the first time Irene took him
with us on a visit to Grandpa and Grandma Spaks's house before they were
married.
My brother and I were real young at the time and Jim slept with us in the
small
bedroom in the feather bed. Grandpa got up early and sneaked Jim's pants out
of the bed room and put them in the middle of the living room and accused
Irene
of stealing his pants. Being a practical joker himself Jim and Grandpa hit it
off real good after that. Everytime they got together they would pickon each
other all the time they were together. Grandpa loved it. Once when the family
got a call that grandpa was dying we went to visit and naturally Jim and Irene
went with us. It was in the summer and as soon as Jim stepped on the porch he
hollered at grandpa to get up or he would whip him and that started the two
of them going at it all day long. when we left, Grandpa Sparks looked like
he'd
had a miraculous recovery. I guess he'd just gotten tired of people treating
like he was on his death bed and Jim was just the medicine he needed. hope you
enjoyed this little bit of history about my Mom's Dad and my brother-in-law.
