Thank you Barbara! I have seriously been thinking about unsubscribing
because there was nothing coming through on the list except for spam. I have
already left the CAUDILL list for the same reason. I'm really glad to hear
that you are working on it.
My name is Nanalee (Caudill) Wrenn from Advance, NC.
My Grandfather was James Aris CAUDLE>son of William Thomas and Nancy
Caroline Evans, CAUDLE> son of Peter A. and Margaret P. Smith, Caudle from
Anson to Wilkes & Surry Counties. My brother Richard Caudill did the dna for
me and we are directly connected to Absalom Caudle descendants but have not
determined the father of Peter A. CAUDLE at this point, although I strongly
feel he is a grandson of Absalom CAUDLE, Sr.
My gramdmother on the other hand was Nannie Alice CAUDILL from Wilkes
County, NC. She died when my father was about a month old and her unmarried
sister raised him, therefore we were raised with the CAUDILL instead of the
CAUDLE spelling..
My grandmother was the daughter of Thomas B. CAUDILL & Martha Matilda
Joines.
Thomas B, son of William & Jane Wood CAUDILL>son of Wilburn/William & Rachel
(daughter of Thomas & Mary Caudill Joines) Joines, CAUDILL> son of Thomas
Aaron and Mary Polly Earnest, CAUDILL>son of James and Mary Yarborough,
CAUDILL, Sr.>son of Stephen and Elizabeth Fields, CAUDILL
Martha Matilda Joines, Caudill was daughter of Ezekiel Joines and Pheroby
(daughter of Jeremiah & Sarah Adams, Caudill) CAUDILL Joines
Love to share.

Just read your message and decided I should write a note about my husband's
Caudill/Cordle family -- don't want the list to disappear even though I
don't have a lot of time for research.
My husband is descended from James Caudill and Mary Yarborough to Benjamin
Caudill and Sarah Humphrey to Elnathan Caudill and Sarah Jennings to William
Sanford Cordle (this spelling by this time) and Louisa Brummett to James
Worley Cordle and Emma Zetta Harper to Nellie Pearl Cordle who married
Robert Ray Hart.
Would be interested in hearing from anyone who is researching any of this
line of Caudill/Cordle, etc.
