This is intriguing.
I have Moses Caudle (Jr.) and Sintha Chapple married 20 Jul 1828 in Surry
Co. NC. Moses Junior as son of Moses from Hallifax VA born about 1761.
The collective (we), suspect that Moses Senior was the father of Aaron,
Moses, James, and William ... perhaps Samson.
William and James have a long line of descendants in the area around what's
now Yadkin County NC (formerly part of Surry) East Bend area. We have one
YDNA sample from James' line which closely resembles the core group of
Caudill's but it's not an exact match. One sample from an entire line is
basically meaningless. There are hundreds of reasons why it might now
match.
If James Joshua was from a family line in the core group, then we have the
Yadkin County clan (William and James lines), marrying into other branches
of the family.
What part of VA was James Joshua born in? Let me guess .... Tazewell? SW
Virginia to be sure.
How interesting.
