MARION: Dallas Lee Caudill, age 85, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday November 12, 2013
at the Kindred Nursing and Rehabilitation Community.
He was born May 27, 1928 in Henderson, W.Va., to the late Willard B. and Carrie (Dabney)
Caudill.
On August 10, 1946 in Pomeroy, Ohio, he married Vaunda N. Jackson and she preceded him in
death.
Dallas was retired as a Welder/Burner with the former Marion Power Shovel Company where he
was employed for thirty-eight years.
He was a past member of the Masonic Lodge and the United Steel Workers Union #1949.
Dallas loved blue grass music, Indy car racing, and was a big Pittsburgh Steelers fan.
He is survived by two sons, Stephen L. (Judy) Caudill of Marion, Ohio and A. Michael
(Ginger) Caudill of Belle Center, Ohio. Four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren
also survive, Todd (Lisa) Caudill of Hilliard, Ohio, Christopher (Amy) Caudill of Marion,
Ohio, Eric Caudill of Delaware, Ohio, Melisa Browning also of Delaware, Ohio and Scott,
Allison, Maya, Trent, Collin and Ethan.
There are also two sisters surviving, Jewell (Melvin) Bordman and June Nibert both of
Point Pleasant, W.Va.
Besides his parents and his wife, Dallas was preceded in death by two sisters, Margie
Kinnard and Garnett Pearson; and four brothers, Russell Caudill, Harry Caudill, Marvin
Caudill and John Caudill.
Funeral Services will be on Monday November 18, 2013 at 11:00 A.M. at the Boyd-Born
Funeral Home. Officiating the service will be Pastor Ronald Takala.
Burial will follow in the Grand Prairie Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday November 17, 2013 from 6 to 8 P.M.
