Anyone know the connection of Bill Caudill to the Caudill tree? He was a famous architect
practicing in the 60's and 70's. I know from his writings that he has KY roots.
He lived mostly in Texas and Oklahoma as near I can tell.
He founded the firm of Caudill, Rowlett, Scott which later became CRS Sirrine. CRSS was
purchased by HOK about a decade ago.
He wrote a series of memo's he called TIB's. TIB is an acronym for this This I
Beleive. They were inspirational writings he'd develop weekly for his employees.
They were published in a book called TIB's which is really quite interesting.
The following is a snipet from a web page I found about his book(s).
Interspersed throughout the volume are pithy memos written by the firm's charismatic,
intellectual leader, AIA Gold Medal winner Bill Caudill. The book is heavily illustrated
with pictures of firm members at work and views of important CRS buildings such as the
Jesse H. Jones Hall for the Performing Arts in Houston.
Any leads?
