MANSFIELD: Loias "Louie" Caudill, 75, of Mansfield, Ohio died Wednesday morning,
September 10, 2014.
He was born to the late Ocie (Slone) and Willard Caudill in the small town of Pippa
Passes, Kentucky on February 25, 1939.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
In his younger years, he was a weightlifter and bodybuilder and maintained his physical
fitness throughout his life.
Louie retired as a supervisor from General Motors after 32 years of service.
Louie was always busy doing something, whether it was working on a project or doing a
favor for friends and family. He had a giving heart and was happy to share his talents to
help others.
In his spare time, he was a master woodworker.
Louie is survived by his wife, Christine Hall Caudill; three sons, Stephen (Rachel)
Caudill of Columbus, Ohio, Eric Caudill (Laura Trafi') of White Fish Bay, WI, Jonathan
"Dirk" (Kristi) Caudill of Huntsville, Alabama; four grandchildren, McKae
Wilson, Sydney and Joshua Caudill and Ingrid Caudill-Trafi'; a great-grandson,
Jonathan Wilson; a brother, John (Giang) Caudill of Santa Ana, CA; and several nieces and
nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Leeon Caudill and
sister, Ora Pfeiffer.
The family will receive friends from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, September 14, 2014 in the Ontario
Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, 100 S. Lexington-Springmill Rd., Ontario, Ohio.
The funeral service will be held in the funeral home Monday at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will follow in Mansfield Catholic Cemetery with military honors presented by the
Richland County Joint Veterans Burial Squad.
Memorial contributions may be made to the
Alzheimer's Association or MedCentral Hospice.
