Not sure if you'll consider this help or not? We have about fourteen
participants in the Caudill DNA Project. We have samples from descendants
of Stephen A Caudill, bro. of Thomas Aaron. If you'd like more info. on the
project, let me know. If a male from Thomas line matches the Stephen A.
line, we can state that they have a common ancestor. If it doesn't match,
you can calculate the probability that there's a common ancestor based on
number of mismatches and which marker. It's somewhat complicated. I'll
explain if you're intrigued.

Jacob Caudill was born in logan,Co. KY.1811. He married Mary Kirby b.TN.
ab.1822. Jacob is belived to be the son of Thomas Aaron Caudill and Mary
"Polly" Earnest daughter of Jacob Earnest. I have found Jacob Caudill and
Mary Kirby leaving KY.and going Benton Co.AR.and Mc Donald MO. I have a
copy of the Land grants. I don't have any proof that Thomas Aaron
sr.Caudill and Mary Earnest were Jacobs parents, and would appriciate any
info.about Jacob Caudill and his parents
