My great Grandmother is Laura (Parsons) Blevins. She comes from the Parsons who helped
found Ash County, NC. She married Rily Blevins. Their house was at the confluence of
Grassy Creek and the New River. My Mother was born in their home. The Caudills were also
part of the original settlers in the region. I'm sure that my great grandmother and
Sue Etta Parsons are related. I will look for the Caudills father in my searches and let
you know when I find him.
Sincerely,
Russ Vollman.
(I am a direct relative of the Blevins, Parsons, Austins, and others in the Ash county
area. My relatives founded the Ash County and later split it into two counties when
Alleghany County was formed.)
