No, that page is of a very distant cousin of mine that I found trying to research my
Caudills. She has helped me a lot in trying to find this line but we've come to a
dead end road. I have still been unable to find anyone researching this family.
I did end up finding a little bit of extra info, but all that it did was confuse me some
more.
John Walter's daughter, Flora Caudill, married Leck Thompson. These are my paternal
grandparents.
In the 1910 census, John Walter's brother, James lives with him. James is 21 so that
makes him born abt 1889. He's single.
In the 1920 census, "Lou" is not with either one of them, I assume she had died
by then. John is living with his wife and children. Next to him is Jim S. Caudill and his
wife Josie Brown. Josie is the d/o Samuel Brown and Sarah Rosanna Patrick. Josie is
Mary's (John Walter's wife)1st cousin. I believe "Jim S." is also the
James that lived with John Walter in 1910 and this is his brother, as these Brown's
are also my family line. Except the 1920 census has James listed as 40 years old and it
would throw the birthday off 10 years. But yes, the census could be wrong.
Next to "Jim S" and John in the 1920 census is William P. Caudill and his wife
Mary? and their family. William would be the right age to be the brother of James and
John, but could also be a cousin? I believe this to be William Pairs Caudill. If William
is their brother, maybe Pairs is their mother's maiden name too? Anyone recognize any
of this?
There is some more confusing stuff I have found but I will leave it at that because it
starts to get really confusing. Basically I have 3 James Caudills and don't know
which one is who and where they go.
