I am a Wallace Combs descendant and would like to know the Combs-Caudill
relationships.
I found, at an antique mall yesterday, papers on Fred Caudill-Feb.6,1928
where he was injured while laying rail for the L&N RR on Feb. 6, 1928 and a
request for train transportation for Fred & Fraud (?)to Lexington, Ky. for
treatment. This was from Coolidge,Ky., To: Conductor on No.4, from W.H.
Phillips, Sect. 4 man.
There is the train ticket, a Registry Card for the Lexington, Clinic in
Fred's name-address Fusonia, Ky. Perry Co.-referred to Dr. C. C. Garr, and a
return ticket by pullman coach for after his treatment. Doesn't appear he
ever used It.
On back of clinic card is handwritten-Fanny Asher, Nancy Wilson & Tina
Caudill. On back of letter to the conductor is written: Dr.David Barrow-Rm
108-190 N. Upper St.-Lexington, Ky.
Did Fred die from this incident? Fraud must have been accompanying Fred on
the trip-doesn't mention him being injured.
Did Fraud marry Mary Combs? Who were her parents?
My ggfather was William Wallace Combs--my gmother Sue G. Combs(sister of M E
Combs). Any info you can provide on the Caudill connection will be
appreciated.
