Silas Caudill
Silas Caudill, 1009 Park avenue, a blind broom maker in this city for three years, died at
his residence 9:15 Wendesday evening of a heart attack.
Mr Caudill was born July 28, 1884
Survivors include the widow, Lydia; two children, Willard, Medina New York, and Mrs Helen
McFann, Ironton,
The bdoy is at the Carmen Funeral Home, Russell. Arrangements are incomplete.

Silas Caudill
Funeral services for Silas Caudill, of 1009 Park avenue, will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at
the Storms Creek Baptist Church. The Revend P J Brammer will officiate. Interment will be
in Sugar Creek Cemetery with Carman of Russell in charge

Obit for Lydia Caudill
Mrs Lydia C Caudill. 65. of 1009 Park avenue, died today at 4:30 at her home following a
heart attack. She had been in poor health since May 1.
She was born May 28, 1888 at South Webster Ohio, a daughter if the late Thomas and Mary
McGowan Campbell. Most of her life was spent in Lawrence County. In 1908 she was united
in marriage to Silas Caudill. who Died September 1952. Mrsl Caudill was a member of the
Storms Creek Baptist Church.
Surviving are: one daughter, Mrs Helen McFann and also one son, Willard Caudill, both at
home; two sisters, Mrs Marshall Webb of Ironton, and Mrs Dorta Kizzee of Clevelan; a
brotgher John Campbell of New Boston, O and three grandchildren. Preceeding her in death
were the parents, her husband, one son, six daughters and eleven brothers and sisters.
The body is at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home, pending complettion of funeral
arrangements.

Services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p m at the Tracy Brammer Funeral Home for Mrs.
Lydia C Caudill, 65, of 1009 Park avenue, who died monday morning at her home after
suffering a heart attack. The Rev. Homer Click will be in charge and interment will be
made in Sugar Creek Cemetery
The body is at the funeral home where friends may call after 6 o'clock this eveing.
Notes...the obit read that Helen Caudill was Mrs McFann...and that Lydia only had 3
grandchildren...I know Willard, her son, had at least 2 natural children and Helen had 3
so how did this count go wrong?
Note that in all Lydia had 9 children..I have found stillborn births for her and Silas and
one daughter that died at birth that they had named Mary...she had 2 living at the time of
her death..
Note it was listed that Lydia had 11 eleven brothers and sisters that were deceased ...3
were still alive...now with her counted there would have been 15...I can not account for
all of them
