Before Rex became ill, he would get up at 5:30 AM -- wake me up and we would walk 3 miles
a day. He would lift weights after the walk. If it was raining he would walk on the
treadmill and elevate it.
He took vitamins and would only take a drink Friday afternoon. After the market closed,
he would take a nap and an hour or two later he would make Margueritas and we would take
our granddaughter in a float at our pool.
He would always say to me -- he ate to live -- very disaplined about his life.
He beat all odds until one year before his death. He had alheimezers -- but even with
that he was able to function. He was riding 2 year old cutting horse in Feb before he
died in June 2003.
When I told him he had Alheimezers, he looked at me and said there is no cure. I said
that is right. He died within the following month.
