I am researching William CATTON and his wife, Jane SNOWBALL CATTON, who came
to
the USA from Lowthorpe, YKS, England (their last address there). They came
about 1833,
with their 8 children. I am stuck as to exactly when and what ship they
came on. Also,
whether they went directly to St.Joseph County, Michigan or were somewhere
else, first.
What happened to cause them to emigrate at that time? Did other adult
Cattons, or other
people from Lowthorpe come, also?

Not very sure if this message got to the group so am repeating it.
This list is a little quiet - lets have some discussion and details from you
as to who you are researching, any problems you might have ie brickwalls. I
will also allow within reason any discussion regarding genealogy until this
list gets going.
Lets set this list on fire for a while.
