This is not meant to be provocative, but what are the sources for
Christopher Pittman Caton being the son of Noah and Frances McDermid
Caton? I know at least one researcher besides me who had never heard of
him until recently.
The two of us have information from Noah's grandchildren (two of them),
and Christopher wasn't mentioned. Did he fall out, die young, move away
and never get heard from again, or do we need to find him other parents?
I have seen one listing on the web for Noah m Jemima Caton (hopefully
not his sister!) in 1808 in Kentucky [citing KENTUCKY PIONEERS & COURT
RECORDS]. The IGI has him divorcing her. (not exactly a reliable source
always.) Could they have had Christopher?
PS Those of you I blind cc'd, please subscribe to the Rootsweb list -
and let me know if you are on, so that I won't double copy you.
