Hi Nancy!
To you & anyone else who might be interested, Jane Cooke's family can be
found in "Southside VA Families", by Boddie.
A quick run-down of the info in there shows (the ***** is our line):

William Cooke (1st) married, firstly, in St. Augustine's Parish Church 4
June 1632, Mary Blackborne. His son, Wm. Cooke (2nd), must have been b.
about 1733, but no reference to the baptism of any children of this
first marriage is recorded in St. Augustine's Parish Church Registers,
so he must have been born either en route to, or in, Virginia. Wm.
Cooke m. 2ndly, Anne ---, as the St. Augustine Parish Church Record
states: "5th Jan. 1636 (-27) was baptised Philip Cooke the son of
Willyam Cooke & Ann his Wyfe". This marriage did not take place at St.
Augustine Parish, however, as the registers have been searched from 1633
to 1637 & there is no reference to it. Wm. Cooke m. 3rdly, Mary ---,
before 10 Apr. 1665. Wm. Cooke (1613-1679) came to VA sometime before
Sept. 29, 1664, for as Wm. Cooke, Sr., he & Wm. Miles patented 1100 ac.
in Isle of Wight Co. on the 2nd branch of the Blackwater, adjacent John
Oliver & Francis England. Wm. Cooke Jr. also patented 360 ac. in Isle of
Wight Feb. 3, 1664.. (it goes on with about 3/4 a page of land purchases
& etc. here that I'm too tired to write right now! Mary also remarried
Robert Lacy, who had a bro. Geo. & they were Quakers.)

Jas. Jones & sister Rebecca Jones who m. his brother, Wm. Cooke. James
Jones mentions his granddaughter, Jane or Joan Cooke, dau. of John
Cooke, in his will. John Cooke's 2nd wife was Avis, widow of Wm.

his will in Surry Apr. 10, 1711, & same was probated June 20, 1711. He
may have left an older son as he leaves only personal property to his
wife & children named below. (W. B. 5, 1709-14, p. 60.) Inventory of
John Cooke, dated Jan. 18, 1715 was filed by Wm. Cooke who appears to
