Wonderful...a big portion of my previous e-mail was cut off from the
last e-mail I sent. Don't understand this, but here it is again:
As I stated in the last e-mail I TRIED to send, I'm still digging around
in MS, but very slowly since most isn't indexed. This is additional
Cato WEST info I found:
From Jefferson Co., MS County Court Minutes 1822-1835: April 1825 "The
Second account of Charles WEST, Executor of the Estate of Cato West,
dec'd." (nothing else there) Oct. 2nd, 1826: The final account of
Charles WEST administrator of the Estate of John S. WEST dec'd. examined
& approved & ordered that the sum of $129 be allowed the said Admr. for
court charges & commissions on final settlement.
In Jefferson Co. Quarter Pleas records, Cato West is the Justice of the
Court & hence is listed on almost all the records there around 1802.
William IVEY is also listed in the same records in 1811-13 as having a
dispute with a land trader from Tenn.
