I am not sure where Needham fits in I am not at my office to check my
files.
Will he fit in with Grandison? Grandisons family said he was
Cherokee and
is on the
Northern Cherokee rolls. Iam almost thinking Needham is part of that
family but I am
not sure.
There are many Jones in the Miller roll book and of course Bird is a very
prominent Cherokee
name you can find it in the Miller and Dawes roll books and many other
rolls. Then of course
the Chiefs name of the Easern Tribe in Ok is Joe Bird.
If you are interested in proving it there are sometimes many ways of doing
that. Although it is much
harder than researching the white man. Sometimes you can never find it.
If you were ever told that
through your family, you more than likely are. It just was not cool to be
Cherokee in the past. So they
would not of told it otherwise.
