Hello!
Thank you for the wonderful and interesting information!!!
I would like to look further into the Elizabeth Cato - William Walker duo
of Norfolk, VA when I return home to VA next month. Seems like this couple
was a little far from "home" being some hundred miles from Greensville Co.
My Great Aunt Ida (Cato's) book (on Cato and Related Families) had listed
Lt. William Walker (1st m. Ann Harrison who died in May 1786, Greensville
Co., VA). Issue:** William (1773)**, Benjamin Harrison (1775), John
(1777), Elizabeth Edwards (1778), Sarah Edwards (1780)...who married John
Cato in 1804), and Charles Harrison (who was born and died in 1785.) Ann
Harrison died the following year.
Lt. William Walker was married 2nd to Jane Cato (Dec. 1786 in Greensville
Co., VA.)
Issue: James (1788), James Harrison (1790), Robert (1792), Daniel (1795),
Mary Ann (1797), Jane William (1802), and John (1799)...who married Jincy
Cato.
My hunch is that William (b.1773) son of Lt. William Walker and Ann
Harrison is the William Walker who married Mrs. Elizabeth Cato in Norfolk,
Va. on July 01, 1797.
I concur that this could possibly be the 2nd marriage of Elizabeth (maien
name?) who married John Cato (d.1788) the brother of Sterling, Henry,
Daniel, Mary, Burwell and William.
Anyone have a guess at the who the MD. Catos might be?
Thank you again for taking the time to respond to my queries.
