I think that the Hathcock book is not accurate when it describes William
Cato as being from..".Northampton County, North Carolina (Drowning Creek
area")... . When you trace out the actual movements of Hathcock's Rev
regiment, this doesn't make sense. The Drowning Creek he is referring to
must be the one near current Moore County NC area. And this must be the
area where Henry and Tabitha lived in NC, as Dr. Henry told me ages ago!
I have already been checking for any trace of Henry's land in this area,
but have not found anything.
I do think this information shows a bond between the William of Northampton
Co and the William of Fairfield SC.
