I have been researching my husband's gg grandfather for almost 20 years and have found
him and his family to be very obscure. I came across you inquiry and found the link I
have been searching for. Edgar Augustus Palmatier was my husband's gg grandfather.
He married Belle Angel ca 1882 prob in Nebraska and they traveled all through KS before
ending up in LA on the 1900 census. They had 3 children, Ray, Jennie, and a child that
died young. Jennie grew to an adult and died. We think she married and died leaving
small children. Ray was on the 1910 census in the MO State Prison in Jefferson, MO. I
just found this information this last week. Would like to know why he was incarcerated.
Census also states that he was divorced, but have been unable to find any marriage or
divorce records. Edgar and Belle moved to Tattnall County, GA, as they are on the 1910
census. We believe Edgar died and is buried there but have been unsuccessful in find
either a death certificate or !
grave site. Ray was in Tattnall County by 1912 where he married Alice Lynn. The family
finally ended up in DeLand, FL, in the late 1920's early 30's. Interested in
finding Edgar's parents.
