The following was sent to me from a kind CATO researcher who stated that
she had copied it when she was still new to genealogy & not taking good
notes (THANKS for sending it anyhow!) - I think most of it is on the
CATO page, but I'm not sure about a couple of them:
It comes from a
book called simply PASSENGER AND IMMIGRATION LIST INDEX, Volume 1: A-G.
Here
is what I wrote:
1982
Cato, Jas 28; Maryland, 1775/2128 p.142
Cato, Jas 28; Maryland, 1775/9151 p. 365
Cato, William, America, 1773/1222 p. 50
1983
Cato, James na.; Nova Scotia, 1749/80 p. 552
Cato, John; Nova Scotia, 1750/4742 p. 36
1987
Cato, Wm; America, 1773/1217.2 p 50
1990
Cato, John; Pennsylvania, 1740 926.20 p.5
Unfortunately, I have NO idea what these dates (1982, 1983, 1987, 1990)
mean.
Nor do I understand if these people are coming FROM these places or
going TO
these places. Sorry for my shoddy notetaking, but figured someone might
be
able to use this info.
A note from me (Bonnie) about the above - I wonder if that John CATO
that came into PA might have been the one who's responsible for CATO,
New York. ??? Anyone have any info on the CATO family there??? If you
look at the online white pages, there's over 1000 CATO families still
residing there!
