Don't know if this will help sort out the brothers of Roland, Jr. but I
will quote from a transcript taken in 1961 from William Craig Cato, son of
John Wesley Cato, son of John Bell Cato.
"His name was was Roland Cato (JR), what you have looked up, he's the one.
He had a brother that stopped up at Rome on one side of the Cumberland
River. They called it Rome. And on the other side Dickson Springs, and he
owned the whole bend of that country. One brother went down to Dover and
settled and one went to Mississippi. Of course they never heard from one
another much in them days. My great granddaddy Robert Cato, 'Robber' what
they called him, 'Old Boss' the most of them, said he had uncles and
cousins up at Lebanon, but he never did see them. He was 92 and 4 months
when he died."--Wm. Craig Cato
Sorry, no names, but at least some locations for our early erstwhile Catos
in TN.--Judith Cato
