I'm forwarding this note from Joan that was bounced:
Hi everyone,
The recent flurry of discussion of Needham Cato has me just a little
confused. Please set me straight. Ya'all are not talking about my
Needham who is a son of Henry and Tabitha Cato. My Needham died in
Lancaster Co. (or Kershaw Co.) SC about 1831, if memory serves me
correctly (I'm at work).

Note from Bonnie: I'm adding a quick reply to this also! The Needham in
KY - "my" (!) Needham - is the son of Sterling, brother of the Needham
in SC (& hence grandson of Henry/Tabitha). At one time I thought "my"
Needham was the Needham Jr., son of Nathan Sr. of SC, but apparently
both Needham Jr. & Sr. stayed in SC.
What had originally confused me was that both Needham's (mine & the one
in SC) had a son named Amos, my g-g-grandfather's name, along with
another couple of children's names in common! It really had me going
when a James CATO went to court to say Needham had died in Feb. of that
year since James in AR (via KY & MO) & brother Needham (via same places)
had apparently been close!
