I thought this was a genealogy website, where people collectively shared information, not
a place for oversized egos to dispute issues for all of us to be subjected to. Donna, I
don't blame your response. Peggy, notify the proper authorities or the individuals if
you have a problem and leave the rest of us out of your drama!

Donna, the fact is that when you don't credit who you got the research
from, we can't evaluate the reliability of the source. You neglected
to give us sources until now, in fact, you didn't even name the
authors of the books that you had previously listed. I don't take
information at face value without going to the original source.
That's nothing personal, just standard practice for every good researcher.
I have spent time and money doing research in original records and
have posted things that have been cut and pasted wholesale into the
"notes" of other researchers, with the source stripped out. I didn't
like people claiming my work as their own, and I'm sure other
researchers don't like it, either. I don't know who copied from whom,
but when I see things being posted that are exact duplicates of what
is posted online in multiple places, minus the source citations,
well... it is what it is.
The websites that I listed did cite their source, giving the deed book
citation and the name and author of the book that the abstracts were
published in.
Yes, I have seen the Revolutionary pension files on NARA microfilm M-804.

Peggy you don't no me at all so you do not have the right to
judge me so
step back and take a breath before you accuse someone of something you
no nothing about.
First I did not cut and paste any of what I sent. I have never heard of
angelfire.com as for the Will of Oliver Massey it came from Carmae
Massey Smith and I was given the OK to use it in my research she sent me
a raw copy of her book I also spoke to family members of Victor Massey
after his death and his wife said I was welcome to his data, maybe you
need to check with these other people on rootsweb and this anglefire
site and ask where they got there data. You need to have your facts
right before you sent such a email to me. Nothing I sent came from
Rootsweb maybe you need to slow down AND ask the questions before
jumping in without any facts.
Donna
