Suzy, and you all,
I am sorry and this is my last post on this matter but I have to reply
to Peggy's last post.
First Suzy thank you for your post. It wasn't and is not my intent to
cause a problem for anyone on this site or any other site but when I am
attacked in such a manner I must reply to it. Suzy I agree with you
totally. I can say without question that this is the only site anyone
has ever attacked me for trying to help. It is and has aways been my
intent to help others, my family are #1and genealogy #2 in my life. I
started researching in 1984 at the LDS Library the Ft. Worth Archives
and in the downtown Dallas Library and a genealogy site called Prodigy
before the internet was the internet. If we don't share information with
each other why have this or any other group, sites, online sites and
genealogy libraries. Peggy maybe you no or maybe you don't but you can't
send attachments on lists like these and as some of you no I have
contacted them at there private email address and been ask to post to
the group that's fine but you can't attach any original documents. I
said this is my last post on this matter on the site. Peggy I hope and
pray you find what you are searching for in genealogy and life.
Thank you all for letting me make this my last post.
God bless you all and happy hunting,
Donna

I thought this was a genealogy website, where people collectively
shared information, not a place for oversized egos to dispute issues for all of us to be
subjected to. Donna, I don't blame your response. Peggy, notify the proper authorities
or the individuals if you have a problem and leave the rest of us out of your drama!

Donna, the fact is that when you don't credit who you got the research
from, we can't evaluate the reliability of the source. You neglected
to give us sources until now, in fact, you didn't even name the
authors of the books that you had previously listed. I don't take
information at face value without going to the original source.
That's nothing personal, just standard practice for every good researcher.
I have spent time and money doing research in original records and
have posted things that have been cut and pasted wholesale into the
"notes" of other researchers, with the source stripped out. I didn't
like people claiming my work as their own, and I'm sure other
researchers don't like it, either. I don't know who copied from whom,
but when I see things being posted that are exact duplicates of what
is posted online in multiple places, minus the source citations,
well... it is what it is.
The websites that I listed did cite their source, giving the deed book
citation and the name and author of the book that the abstracts were
published in.
Yes, I have seen the Revolutionary pension files on NARA microfilm M-804.
