Thanks for the writeup on Lewis L.and Sterling G. Cato. The info posted was not from your
older writeup, but I sure would like to see yours if it contains anything additional! I
found the Masonic references the other day when I Googled Sterling G. Cato. Hadn't
seen before, so thought I would post.
There is an interesting history of The Hoogland Investigation on (I think) the Kansas
Historical Society Website, you have probably already seen it but if not, it mentions
Sterling G's role in the John Brown problem in Kansas. Seems he issued the original
warrrant for the arrests. It was an article written in the 1930s. Sorry I can't seem
to locate the full reference right now. Will find it if you are interested.
