**** Note! I didn't get a chance to check the 1900 census, except for
one name (I was extremely rushed on time). I don't know if George's
family was still there in 1900 when the Hurricane of 1900 struck.
Because of where he lived in Galveston, there's an extremely good chance
that his was one of the ones in the complete distruction area. The
closest estimates are that at least 6,000 deaths occurred on Galveston
Island from the storm. Does anyone have this family in their line or
happen to know if they were there then???
