Deed Book I, page 202:
Know all men by these presents that Joel CATO of the state of Ark. & Co.
of Conway in consideration of the sum of $48 to me paid by John BELOTO
of the St. of Ark. & Co. of Conway...and sale unto the said John BELOTO
the following articles of personal property to wit one Brown Mare 3
years old 2 milch Cows both red with their calves one of them 2 years
old the other 5 years old to have and to hold all and singular the said
personal property unto the said John BELOTO... I the said Joel CATO for
my myself my executors & administrators do covenant to & with the said
John BELOTO...
Provided nevertheless that the said Joel CATO his executors or
administrators shall well & timely pay unto the said John BELOTO his
executors administrators & assigns the amount of a certain judgement
which stands on the docket of J.W.BLAIR a Justice of the Peace in favor
of W.W.GARNER and against the said Joel CATO which execution was stayed
by the said John BELOTO - Now of the Judgement aforesaid be paid by the
Joel CATO within 6 months from this time then the conveyance shall be
void otherwise to remain in full force and effect this the 7th day of
June A.D. 1860 and provided also that until default by the said Joel
CATO his executors or administrators in the performance of the condition
aforesaid it shall & may be lawful for him or them to keep possession of
the said granted property & to use and enjoy the same but if the same or
any part thereof shall be attached at any time before the payment of the
aforesaid judgement by any other creditor of the said Joel CATO or if
the said Joel CATO his executors or administrators shall attempt to sell
the same or any part thereof without notice to the said John BELOTO his
executors or administrators & without his or their assent to such sale
in writing expressed then it shall be lawful for the said John BELOTO
his executors or administrators to take immediate possession of the
whole of said granted property to his and their use.
In Testimony whereof I the said Joel CATO have herewith set my hand and
seal this 7th day of June 1860. Signed Joel CATO. Note on side of
deed: This Mortgage is satisfied in full this 10th day of Nov. A.D.1860.

Book H, Page 549 deeds:
Know all men by these presents that I Joel CATOE of the State of Ark. in
the County of Conway in consideration of $100 to me paid by Isom R. HALL
Jr. of the State of Ark. in the Co. of Conway the reciept whereof is
hereby acknowledged do hereby give grant bargain sell and convey unto
the said Isom R. HALL - and his heirs a certain tract or parcel of land
situated in the state and county aforesaid bounded and described as
follows viz, the W 1/2 of the SW 1/4 of Sect. 12 in Twp. 7 (or 6?) N of
R 13 W containing 80 ac. more or less with all the privaledges and
appertenances thereto belonging to have and to hold the aforegranted
premises to the said Isom R. NEALL, Jr. and his heirs in fee simple
forever and I the said Joel CATOE for myself and my heirs executors and
administrators do covenant with the said Isom R. NEALL - and his heirs
and assigns that I am lawfully seized in fee of the aforegranted
premises that they are free from all encumberances that I have a good
right to sell and convey the same to the said Isom R. HALL Jr. as
aforesaid and that I will and my heirs executors and administrators
shall warrant and defend the same to the said Isom R. HALL - and his
heirs and assigns... I Abagail CATOE wife to the said Joel CATO do
hereby release and quit claim unto the said Isom R. HALL Jr. his heirs
and assigns all my right - claim or posibility of dower in or out of the
afore described premises In witness whereof to the said Joel CATOE and
Abigail CATOE have hereunto set our hand and seals this 11th day of
February A.D. 1860. Signed sealed and delivered in presents of attest:

Book 7, Page 266, Conway Co. Deed Records
Know all men by these Presents:
That we, Amos CATO and Mary J. CATO widow of James P. GREEN deceased his
wife, for and in consideration of the sum of $200, to us in hand paid by
J.H. POTTS the reciept of which is hereby acknowledged do hereby grant,
bargain, sell and convey unto the said J.H. POTTS and unto his heirs and
assigns forever, the following lands lying in the county of Conway and
State of Ark. to wit: N 1/2 of the NW 1/4 of Sect. 12 Twp. 8 N of R 16 W
of the principal meridian in Ark. containing 80 ac.
To have and to hold the same unto J.H. POTTS and his heirs and assigns
forever, and all appurtenances thereto belonging. And we hereby
covenant with the said J.H.POTTS that we will forever defend the title
to said lands against all lawful claims whatever: We Amos CATO and Mary
J. CATO for and in consideration of the sum of money, do hereby release
and relinquish unto the said J.H. POTTS our rights in and to the said
lands.
Witness our hands & seals on this 5 day of Jan. 1894. Witness J.J.
LESTER. Signed Amos CATO & Mary J. CATO.
Acknowledgement: (part of above deed)
State of Ark., County of *Pope*. Be it remembered, that on this day
came before the undersigned, a Notary Public within and for the County
aforesaid, duly commissioned and acting Amos CATO to me well known as
the grantor in the foregoing deed, and acknowledged that he had executed
the same, for the consideration & purposes therein mentioned & set
forth. And on the same day voluntarily appeared before me the said Mary
J. CATO widow of J.P. GREEN deceased wife of the said Amos CATO to me
well known & in the absence of her said husband declared that she had,
of her own free will, signed and sealed the relinquishment of Homestead
to said lands and in the (state?) of Ark. resides? in the foregoing Deed
for consideration and purposes therein contained & set forth, without
compulsion & undue influence of her said husband. Witness my hand &
seal as such Notary Public this 5 day of Jan. 1894. J.G. TUCKER.
