I have already posted the Cato names and variations from the "Preliminary
Edition". I have posted the next list, from the "First Edition", below.
Again, please keep in mind that I am not saying all of these belong to the Cato family. I
am sure there are some Caters and Cates, etc... who will turn out to be Catos. There may
also be some Catos who turn out to be something other than Catos. Name spelling in the
early history of this country was not an exact science. The named references should be
consulted, as well as records from the specific location of the person, to discover more
information in order to prove family attachments.
