Hi all! I'm forwarding this very kind offer from a gentleman in
Florida. I had written him back to see if there were any family papers
in the box & that is what the second letter is about. Bonnie
Hello Cato Family researcher:
My name is Joe Frakes, following my mothers death, and while going
through her papers, I discovered a heavy cardboard Card, approx, 4 X 6
inches. It lists a "Nancy A. Cato, died July 13, 1889, age 54 years, 2
months, 21 days". Probably came from the Spencer County, Indiana, area.
And, since my mother was not born until 1901, it probably was handed
down from one of my grandparents.
I will be happy to send it to any direct descendant of this Nancy A.
Cato, if they will contact me at joef(a)tcity.com - I am not a member of
any Cato list, so they must e-mail me direct. Or, my address is P.O. Box
64, Crescent City, Fla. 32112, Ph. 04-467-3364
I would appreciate it if you could get the word out.
Thank you, Joe
Hey Bonnie:
No papers, just the card, some relativies said the Cato's were related
to the Frakes, but, I doubt that, I've never found any connection. I
suspect the Cato and Alley families were related, in the Spencer County,
Indiana, bunch. But, I'm not even sure of that, just have never
researched the Cato's. Thanks for posting the e-mail, for me. I look
forward to hearing from a descendant of Nancy's.
Joe
