Can anyone identify the Tabitha Ladd, age 54, b NC, found on the 1850 Wayne County Missouri Census in the household of 19-year-old Starling Ladd? Is this the wife/widow of Francis B. Ladd who married Tabitha Cato in Christian Co KY?
Can anyone send me a quick history of what happened to Francis B. Ladd and Tabitha Cato?
Thank you,
Cynthia Benua

Hello, Bud and Ethel Cato of Blackgum, OK would be in my Cato line. My grandpa was Lee General Cato of Blackgum, OK, born in Paris, Tx. June 14, 1875. His father was Wilson C. Cato, born in Kentucky about 1831, moved to the area of Paris, TX (Lamar County) in about 1852 or 1853 along with the Cato Clan headed by his father Clariborn Henry Cato. I believe Bud Cato is one of the sons of Jim Cato, my Grandpa's oldest brother, or possibly a son of Cornelious Lafayette (Fate) Cato the second oldest son of Wilson C. Cato. Who are your grandparents? I would like any pictures or information , please feel free to contact me via e mail, I would be glad to share the information I have, on the Cato line have a lot more. My Dad is Raymond Cato was born and raised in Blackgum, OK and I will ask him for sure about Bud and Ethel Cato as he will know for sure.
Thank you,
Janet Cato

While going thru my Grandmother's pix. I found a pix. of a couple and on the back it says Bud and Ethel Cato, lives in Blackgum, Okla. Let me know if anyone would like a copy of it.
I have this list of Cato soldiers who served in War of 1812. Wonder if anyone has ordered or copied any of the the Compiled Military Service Records CMSR from the National Archives? Would like to put all the info together and perhaps post to Rootsweb Archives. If you can help, please let me know. I think ordering from NARA takes a long time.
Best,
Cynthia
