Hello everyone,
This is my first message as I have only recently started researching my branch of the
CATLIN family. I would be grateful to receive any information anyone may have that may be
connected to my family.
My great-grandfather was Robert Henry CATLIN (date of birth, death and marriage unknown)
He was married to Mary Ann (maiden name, date of birth, death and marriage unknown)
In September 1915 they were living at 12 Rigby Row, Dawley, Hayes, Middlesex.
They had at least three sons and I believe possibly two daughters, but unsure about this.
I believe their eldest son to be Robert Henry CATLIN (year of birth 1885?), he was killed
in France during the First World War on 29 September 1915, aged 30.
My grandfather was George William CATLIN (also son of Robert Henry and Mary Ann) he was
born on 16 December 1891 in Hayes, Middlesex.
George William CATLIN married Fanny Reekie BUDD (born 14 April 1895 at Croydon) on 16 May
1915 at the Parish Church of St John, Southall, Middlesex.
At the time of their marriage the address of George William CATLIN was North Camp,
Aldershott and the address of Fanny Reekie BUDD was 41 Hammond Road, Southall?
They had two daughters, my mother, Dorothy May CATLIN (born 10 January 1917) and Joyce
Leslie CATLIN (born 1926?)
In 1917 my grandparents were living at 110 Brettenham Road, Walthamstow. At this time my
grandfather worked as an Accountants Messenger.
In 1923 they were living at 25 Orford Road, London, E17.
They moved to Pavenham, Bedfordshire possibly about 1934, where my grandfather worked as a
Farm Labourer.
Thanks for any help you may be able to give me.
