Message Board Post:
Excellent Sally. thank you for reply back. Another party who is very interested in
assisting this effort, her name on the message boards here and also on
www.rootsweb.ancestry.com under Cemeteries. We were discussing the disrespectful nature
of those of today, in how shabbily our ancestors are being treated in their final resting
places. That developers can just come along, and hip stitch, whatever, move them, off to
another spot, haphazardly, if at all. Mostly are carted off to the land fill, and or are
plowed under for a strip mall, parking lot, and or excavated and again, hauled off to the
DUMP. (Meaning, that those who are hired to do the moving, do not always do so. A token
few, Yes, are moved but the bulk, not known via maps, or survey, or paper trail, do not.)
Only if someone happens to be on the ball, that bones, and or casket's are noticed,
and in turn, IF, and I say again, IF, BIG IF, any one is notified of the find. They they
MIGHT get the road, and or project postponed long enough. Most times, just cursory
investigation, and then are moved.
Not always with the proper respect, nor are their stone markers, along with them. Most
end up as bullwarks shoring up the earth along river or ocean against storms. Has happened
in New York, New Jersey, etc. And or in the case of in Ohio, the MILLS - WELLS cemetery,
was sub divided for a housing development. A token small plot of land, designated as a
pocket park, with a marker indicating that a Pioneer Cemetery had once been on that spot.
Some just are moved and put into a MASS GRAVE, then their grave stones, are put in a row
along the back wall, all are cemented together. MISERABLE to say the least. The other
MILLS cemetery, just not a half mile away, also was about to be so eliminated, that local
family members, and historical and genealogical society, kept the cemetery in tact, at
least for now. In that, a Revolutionary and Civil War soldiers and their families were
buried there. Markers were put in place to so designate a few who were documented as being
buried the!

I did a browser search and found your posting to the message board, but your email addy,
back then, no longer valid. So posted again on here, to see if it might get to you.
Possibly with others who are related and like minded might be able to get the Eudell
Cemetery, at least sectioned off from the pasture land. Says that there are 19 people
buried there. I wonder if it was at one time associated with the First EUDELL Church, in
Mason, NE?? On the map it does show a cemetery near it. At least on map search.
