I'm looking for a Mrs. Ada CATLEY who was living at 233 Welcome Road, Great Grimesby,
Lincolnshire in 1927 with her 90 year-old mother, Martha nee BROWN. Her mother, Martha,
was the daughter of my ggg grandparents, Rufus Milledge BROWN, b. 1809, d. 1882 &
Elizabeth TRITES, b. 1811, d. 1851 - all of Westmorland County, New Brunswick, Canada.
Info I have states Martha BROWN married an English civil engineer who was employed in
laying out the European and North American Railway between Pointe du Chene and Saint John
- the first railway in New Brunswick. She went to England with her husband, coming back
for a visit in 1864 or 1865. After her return to England, nothing was heard of her until
1927 when her daughter, Mrs. Ada CATLEY who was living with her at the time mailed a
letter to Canadian relaltives. A letter sent to the address in the forties was returned
marked, "deceased".
Who was Ada CATLEY married to, who was her father and who were her siblings? Does this
name ring any bells?
