If hotmail a/cs are not used for 30 days then they expire, and they don't
send a "did not find" response.

I found an old e-mail address for John and have sent a line
and now await a response.
The e-mail hasn't bounced so I assume the account is still
live.
However, as it was a 'hotmail' account he may not be
accessing same after all this time.
Will advise the outcome.
