Kay,
Well I can tell that you are having fun X referencing your information
with
the Coveney lists and as I rather expected, you are busy linking
names
together and will doubtless come out of it with a big bunch of separate
mini
trees which cover around 3/4/5 generations that can not currently be
linked
either together, nor attached to any known existing tree. All most
frustrating to say the least!
This is exactly the situation I have with Geralds lists of Cattley B/M/D's
from the PRO. I extracted my own tree contents from them and looked at
the
rest and in some cases it was a simple exercise to compile trees from
the
evidence and I landed up with these "mini trees" and nowhere to put them!
Mind you, having at last gone onto our rootsweb net has helped, for
example
I had quite a bit on a Cattley tree that centered around Camberwell
in
S.London and there it sat dangling as it were, for a few years and then I
came across Al Cattley in Canada who pops up on this net from time to time
and lo and behold, it turned out to be part of his tree.
The only obvious thing to do is to shelve them and keep in mind as new
information is uncovered and keep a lookout for matching information to
join
things together.
It will certainly be interesting to hear from you as to how the Coveney
info
matches up to the IGI records.
All the best Tim.----- Original Message -----
