Hi all,
I do not know if it is of any interest or relevance but I note in my UK
Public Record Office Births Marriages and Death lists that there is an
Elizabeth Catley shown as married in Bath in the 3rd quarter of 1838.
My lists show few Catleys as the extract subject was Cattley and a few
single "T"s got included and Elizabeth is one of them.
Regards ............ Tim

Thanks to everyone for your replies.
Dennis, his second fore-name was probably George. It
doesn't appear on his marriage certificate or his death certificate
but his son's death certificate names the father as Thomas George Catley.
This son was also a Thomas George and he had a son also named
Thomas George. So starting with our convict there are three generations
of Thomas George.
This makes it possible that the father of Thomas George (the convict)
also went by Thomas George but I only know for certain that he is called
Thomas from his son's (the convict) death certificate.
Hope that makes sense. If only I had his mother's name as well!!
Anthony Catley
