Howdy Mick,
I owe you an apology in that I did not include all your search titles in my
last update and simply put Chas Catley of Barley and lumped it as Ansty
Catleys. I will correct this on the the next update.
One point:- you indicate that most of your records are from Barkway yet I
know that the bulk of "The Ansty Cat*ley" information is derived from the
Ansty Parish records which start circa 1743. Was your comment thus a slip of
the finger on the keyboard, or, have you simply concentrated on the
Barley/Barkway earlier connections?
I have had contact with Candice and know that she holds the same copy of the
Ansty Cat(t)ley Tree as I have and knowing that you have had information
exchanges with her, I think it pretty certain that you have the same Ansty
"bulk" info?
You might just confirm this?
Regards Tim

G'day Tim,
Thank you for taking on this task. I hope it receives the support of the
subscribers to the list for whom it should provide a valuable resource.
My particular interest is the Hertfordshire Cat(t)leys from the early 18th
century. Most of my records are from Barkway with a few from Anstey and
Barley.
I can trace movement from Hertfordshire to Wiltshire c.1765 and
Australia
1856 via Middlesex c.1828.
I have attempted to tabulate this in your preferred registry format as
follows:
Contact Name Tree Origin (name and place) Date
Mick Catley Charles Catley, Barley, Herts c. 1714
Mick Catley George Catley, Barkway, Herts c. 1751
Mick Catley James Catley, Tisbury, Wilts c. 1765
Mick Catley George Catley, migrated to NSW 1855
Australia
