Hello all,
The recent traffic of e-mails to the Desk that relate to the Ansty Cat*ley Tree reminds me
that I have had correspondence with members of that Pedigree who are not on rootsweb lists
yet reside in Australia.
I refer to R.C., E.R., and P.J. Cattley who are father and two sons and live quite close
to eachother in Perth, WA.
Reginald Charles Cattley emigrated out to Aussie with his parents, Edward Charles and
Dorothy Agnus (nee Bartington) in 1923.
Edward Charles was born (so R.C. asserts in Buntingford, Hertfordshire yet my
"Cattley lists" indicate it was Kingston) in 1885.
No doubt if anyone wants to make contact you can look them up in your National call book.
The one to address is E.R. (Edward) Cattley.
The Ansty Tree is that one where the sir name seems to have wavered around for generations
using both forms of spelling between Catley and Cattley rather than settling down to just
one. Most confusing!
I had snail mail correspondence with both RC and then ER a little later (circa 1992) but
nothing since.
Regards to all Tim C.
