Good morning all,
Has anybody got any information that would help me to identify which Cat*ley tree this guy
belongs to?
Birth Q4 1884 Barton Regis
Marriage Q3 1910 Hull to Hannah Martha Holmes
Death Q2 1959 Thornbury.
1891/1901/1911 census returns unhelpful.
WW1 service records indicate he was living with wife in Hull prior to joining up in 1914.
He served in the RAMC 1914-1918 and nok shown as wife at a Hull address.
1914 service papers show that he had two brothers:-
1) Robert or Albert (difficult to decypher) serving in the Connaught Rangers
2) Thomas living in Plaistow, London.
I can't get a fix on any of these. As born and died in the Bristol area, it is likely
that he belongs to one of the five or so Cat*ley trees that we have resolved that are
Somerset/Gloucester sourced.
Regards
Tim
Morning Tim,
If it's any help, the 'Barton Regis Reg Dist' was created 1.4.1877 from the
'Clifton Reg Dist' in Glos.
In 1911 at Hull, there was a Henry Vincent CATTLEY (sic), aged 26, a
trimmer on a trawler, born Bristol, Clifton (sic)
- married to Hannah Martha Cattley , aged 32 yrs born Sunderland
- with mother-in-law, Esther Holmes aged 60, a widow, born Liverpool.
David
