The answer to this question must surely be found only by trawling for an on
line copy of the correct edition of the 1883 " The Engineer ".
From what I can make out from the copy shown on e-bay it seems to
feature a
writeup on a Catley steam powered yacht engine shown at the RAS (Royal
Agricultural Show?) but presumably it also covers Catley's "steam powered
turning engine" ?
The Catley & Ayre of York steam driven vehicle has already been discussed on
this site (Anthony?) would appear to be a different entity and nothing to do
with either a yacht engine or a steam plough.

Subject: [CATLEY] Catley's Steam Turning Plough
I noticed a listing on ebay for pages from an 1883 Edition of
"The
Engineer" which mentions Catley's Steam Turning Plough. I was
wondering if anyone knew which Catley this would be.
Cheers
Pat
