Hello Kay,
There is quite a bit of information on the Priory in one way or another and
somewhere in my glorious muddle of notes, I seem to recall having the names
of the last two "Heads of Houses" (my words) one male and one female because
as we know, the Gilbertine Monastic Settlements were shared Houses with both
monks and nuns sharing work and prayer but obviously having separate
dormitories.
From what I remember, the last two Heads of House, when the Priory was
finally abandoned, married and so one must assume that they "went into
retirement" in this state of happy matrimony!
Anyway, I am curious as to the list of names that you quote by reference No
because this is new information and I will contact the PRO to see if I can
get a copy.
If anyone has already started off in this direction, please let me know
straight away as there is no point in more than one making the same request.
Well spotted Kay.
Regards to all Tim

Subject: [CAT...] priory inhabitants...
Dear all,
If there is anyone on the list who ever visits the PRO, there is
apparently
a list of inhabitants of the Catley Priory at the time it was
dissolved..which
would make interesting reading.
The reference number is
SC 6/HenV111/2018
Happy holidays to all..
kay
p.s. those listers in UK, ...if you know of anyone who has accommodation
which they
let
out , or who might want to do an accommodation swap to sunny Sydney
for a
few weeks..let
me know.
