Hello Sharon,
Thanks for the contact. Glad to learn that your Record Office searches have
proved dividends even if you have had to get to grips with raw Latin!
I am not exactly sure just how many listers we have who are interested in
the Anstey Lines at present, Candis has dipped out but Mick Catley I know
will be most interested as am I.
There may be quite a few people who will be surprised to learn that this
Hertfordshire country based Cat*ley family had a branch who moved to
Wiltshire, we all tend to think that at this time in history, that the only
movement from rural locations was towards Towns or by emigration to "The New
World".
Your information has indicated that the above was not the rule and that
country re-locations did happen as well.
Will be most interested to get your results, as and when.
Best wishes .......... Tim

Hi Tim
Just to let you know I finally made it back to Trowbridge (Wiltshire)
Record Office
yesterday to try to piece together some of the missing links
with this particular branch, and it really paid dividends! It did mean
trying to decipher Latin poring through the Wardour Roman Catholic Chapel
microfilms (about 3 hours!).
I'm starting to type everything up now, but it'll be a few days before I
can post the information to the site, but I will as soon as I am able.
Sharon
