I would have thought as long as you have the GEDcom file you don't have to
renew your sub to Ancestry.

I would stick with Family tree maker. Do you still have the CD then maybe
you can
load onto Mac. I'm not sure whether I still have any of your tree on
my old lap top. I will check it out then I can send it to you when you get
sorted.

Please keep hints to a very simple level.
Best wishes to you all...we saw Tim recently in uk, but getting older and
poorer
and more doddery meant we couldn't manage anything more ambitious. If
I can recover half what I had I will be utterly thrilled and amazed...
