Hi Tim
I probably can't help much but I'm just letting you know I have received
your email.
Cheers

Good morning,
I am not yet convinced that this Rootsweb list is working correctly as
previous experience suggests to me that I am not copied in on returns,
however I will have another go and see what happens.
My "All Cat*ley bmd spreadsheet" is now in an advanced state of
development thanks to the assistance of three stalwart members namely
John Catley (Francis Catley of Featherstone 1640)
Derek Miller (James Charles Catley of Halstead 1824)
Liz Cordingly ((Richard Catley of Bottesford 1695)
and now covers over 17,000 Cat*ley events and reveals 66 different trees
of varying sizes from the massive Francis of Featherstone down to some
lonely twiglets, 13 of the larger, being dna tested (Y dna) with
Familytreedna in the USA.
The format used now enables one to see most of the wood from the trees and
readily highlights areas where further research is necessary to complete
the full picture.
One area that becomes instantly obvious where further attention is
deserved is that in North Hertfordshire in and around the village of
Barkway. This village is synonymous with the James Catley of Barley family
tree who's main body of people moved there ex Barley in the 1730's but
whilst this tree appears to be research-intact, there are still some 54
Cat*ley events for Barkway between 1714 and 1864 that are unaccounted for.
Whilst there are indeed two other known Catley trees centered in the same
area (who are dna connected to the Barley tree) namely Joseph of Melbourn
(1804) and Joseph of Royston (1771) there are no known instances of births
marriages or death's for their members in the parish if Barkway and I can
only draw the supposition that the Barley tree is 54 persons smaller than
it should be?
If anybody would like a copy of my "Barkway unaccounted Cat*leys", I will
send it via my gmail address if requested.
Regards
Tim

Hi Tim
Send it over to me probably easier to look at than the whole BMD list.
Although I am still looking at this as you know.
Perhaps Lynda Powers might want to help and look at her tree again.
