Tim, you did not respond to their identification of Ellen Catley as mother to Hilda
(father not given) and the much later marriage of Ellen Cattley to Vernon Aspital.
Although Vernon's birth, marriage and death are registered (as well as Ellen
Aspital's death) - and even on findmypast Vernon's brief service in the militia -
it does not help with the offspring. Vernon appears as Hospital in most census returns, He
was not with Ellen or the kids in 1911. Anthony

Thank's for responding Anthony,
Am at a loss with this one. With the inclusion of the initial O as a 3rd
forename for two of these children it seems a pretty good bet that it
stands
for Oakley.
However I can not see an Oakley//Cattley//Catley marriage which has
scuppered the obvious line of thought.
Were they all illig't? Possibly ?
Can't find any trace in the 1911 census either.........no clues anywhere
that I can find.
Tim
