Thank you for the information which confirms that given to me by Wm Cattley
and Roger.I. Cattley.
Would you know by any chance what ship he was serving on at the time.? I do
know he was in the Merchant Marine and not the Royal Navy and I think there
is a Merchant Navy memorial (with names) near Tower Hill in London
